LO5- Logo

Image
This is the logo I am going to use on my website for South Yorkshire D-Tours. The name of the product is shown in large so it stands out to my audience and becomes remember able. The colour scheme is inspired by the Yorkshire Rose and that is relevant as this product is based around South Yorkshire.

LO5 D2- Evaluating the negative impact of my product

Now I will analyse my product and see how it may have a negative effect on the people using it. After stating the issues surrounding my product I will then give solutions to prevent the negative impacts that my idea has.  Firstly, one of my methods of feedback is allowing my audience to comment under social media posts so I can understand what my audience likes or dislikes about my idea. However, since the comment sections are open to all, some maybe tempted to troll others in the comment section as they find it amusing. This will make the victim of the abuse hurt mentally and will be pushed away from my social media accounts to avoid more harassment. To address this, I will ensure that all foul language is turned off on the social media platforms that allow the banning of certain words. Failing that, I will constantly be monitoring comment sections as I will have notifications on so as soon as I see a hurtful comment, it will be removed and they will be blocked.  This links t...

LO5- Evaluation of feedback

To gather feedback from my group I conducted a survey on Survey Monkey as that will allow me to see whether my product is liked and has potential to be successful or not.  In terms of the positives about my product, everyone who I presented to understood the purpose of the product which could correlate to my audience meaning if they understand the idea then they are more likely to use the product. When I asked my audience if they would use my product the majority said yes but one person clicked no. This could tell me that a vast amount of people would use my product but not everyone so I could make slight adjustments that might tempt them into using it as well. My product does fill a gap in the market as shown by my survey results so my product could be used by a lot of people as my idea does not currently exist. When I asked my group if my product would be successful, 100% of people said yes which tells me that my product was a strong idea. I then asked my audience what do they li...

LO5- Feedback from my group

Image
To gather feedback from people in my group I conducted a survey on Survey Monkey where I asked questions on my product. In total I asked 9 questions to people who watched my presentation and these are the responses.  This shows that the group I presented to understood the purpose of my product which could indicate that if my product reached the public. Then everyone would know what the product is about therefore resulting in more people wanting to use it.  This question was a follow up to the previous question and everyone clicked yes so I have no relevant feedback to this question.  This question asks if my group would use my product and the results show that the majority would but one person wouldn't. This tells me that my product may not be interesting for everyone and I could make slight changes to my product to compensate for people who are not a fan of my idea.  This question asks if my product would fill a gap in the market and all answers were yes which showc...

LO5- Feedback from Anne Doncaster

When presenting my product to my group, I also presented to Anne Doncaster who is a professional in the industry that my idea is in. By presenting to a professional, this will give me relevant feedback so I can understand if my product is realistic and would succeed in the market. After listening to presentation, Anne said that she is a fan of the product but offered some suggestions to make the product better. One of the improvements she would make is the inclusion of 360 degree camera videos where you can manually move around the screen even when a video is playing. This would be well suited for long corridors as you can slowly move down and keep looking around you. You can also rewind if you miss anything. This feedback is helpful from Anne as she has worked the similar technology to me so she is experienced in this field. The fact she has worked with similar products to mine and said my idea was a good one shows it could have potential to succeed in the market.

LO5- Video presentation

This is my video presentation for unit 26. I presented my idea to my group and in front of Anne Doncaster from Sheffield Hallam University. By presenting my idea to a professional, I can gather accurate and realistic feedback on my product which will help me understand the high quality standards in the industry. Anne also gave me feedback on how to improve my product which is helpful as she knows what is missing from my idea to make it a very good marketable product. After this presentation, I sent out a Survey Monkey questionnaire to my group so I could gain feedback from people my own age and see whether they would be interested in using my product. This will be helpful because they were 10 or so people in the room so I can work out an average of how many people liked it. I could then compare this to the real world and have a rough idea of how successful my product would be.
